Magnum Launces Next Generation of High-End Tactical Footwear: Elite Platinum
Modesto, CA — After a successful 4-year run in the line, Magnum is updating its top-end series, the Magnum Elite, with the new Elite Platinum Series. Designed to exceed all Global specifications, Elite Platinum is suited to outfit highly discerning, high-ranking law enforcement professionals around the world.
Three styles make up the Elite Platinum Series: Elite Platinum 8" WP, Elite Platinum 6" WP and Elite Platinum Low WP. The premium full-grain leather upper bears the embossed Elite Platinum family crest and is combined with Amortex® high-abrasion resistant ballistic Kevlar® mesh. The 6" and 8" styles feature an eVent® brand waterproof/breathable fabric lining while the Low utilizes proprietary Magnum seam-sealed waterproof protection. An X-Static® lining provides the ultimate anti-microbial protection while regulating temperature throughout the upper. This silver fiber helps eliminate odors and prevent bacterial breakdown and decay.
Elite Platinum gets its rigidity and stability from an integrated, lightweight Stabiliflex Bi-Fit lasting board in lieu of a heavy steel shank. A lightweight, compression-molded EVA midsole cushions and supports the foot. The multi-traction outsole exceeds US SATRA standards for slip/oil/chemical resistance. And as with all Magnum products, comfort is king. An M-PACT Contoured footbed provides a layer of EVA cushioning topped with viscoelastic memory foam for customized comfort. Dual elastomer pads on the heel and forefoot absorb shock, and propel the foot forward.
Magnum Elite Platinum is a part of Magnum’s Spring 07 line and will take delivery in February of 2007. It is currently available in men’s sizes 7-12, 13, 14, 15 in medium (D) widths only. MSRP: $120-140.
